blenderIn this section of the site we want to get you over some of our favorite smoothies that we have discovered that are simply spectacular.

Protein shakes (smoothies) are a great post workout mix…

And they also work equally well for meal replacements or even just a light snack.

Best of all, the only thing besides the ingredients that you need is a blender.

Plus, you’ll save lots of money by making smoothies instead of buying expensive protein bars, which usually have lots of additives and most times taste like gravel.

And once you start making these nutritious smoothies, we are willing to bet that you’ll never go back to protein bars again.

One Other Idea

Here’s another idea that we discovered that really works great.

We used to have one of those big blenders that sat on the kitchen counter top…
And never got used.

Mainly because it was too big for creating a shake for just one person, and cleaning it afterwards was always a pain…

Then we discovered the convenience of personal blenders…

These are the blenders that you can find at your local big box store, that are designed for personal use (like the image above).

You simply put all of your ingredients into your cup, screw the blender base onto it, blend, unscrew the cap, and you are drinking your smoothie right out of the blender cup…

And cleanup is a snap.

They are pretty cheap (the basic ones are around $15-$20) and do the job just fine… Though you can get as fancy as you wish.

Bottom line, ever since changing to the personal blenders, we find ourselves using our blenders on a daily basis…

And they work great for our smoothie recipes. So this may be an option for you as well.

Do you need to get a personal blender?

Absolutely not; but if your big blender is doing nothing more than taking up space on your counter top, it may be an option for you.
